Title: Breaking in a choke?
Post by: IowaGobblers on May 06, 2013, 01:26:17 PM
I just ordered a sumtoy but got a bird this weekend, so my season is over. Im putting it in a 870 that is designated as a turkey/squirrel gun. If I keep the sumtoy in is it ok/better to shoot lead through it all year until next season? (Gon na shoot fes. Heavys for turkeys)

Shoot it all you want.  It will wake up after a box or two of junk shells.  All our target chokes we burn about 2 boxes before we start testing them on paper.
