I will probably do a hand load 1 5/8 oz nickel plated #7 load with a spreader wad? For bottom barrel for shots under 25 yards

Nice patterns, you have your distances covered good.
how far are you getting hunting patterns with the #6 golden pheasants?
Anything over 25 yards it spreads a little too much so I would shoot tss
Working on a 1 5/8 oz #7 hand load to replace golden pheasant. Getting them pressure tested.
GP is 1 1/2 oz 6s

let us know how that #7 load works
I dropped one of his 1 5/8 oz 20ga loads down to 1oz. of TSS 9's to bring POI to POA in the close (right) barrel of a SXS, with a .575 Carlson in a CZ it had nice soccer ball patterns at 20yd and in the low 150's in the 10" at 40 yds

as long a pressure testing checks out i will post some pattern pics in a week or 2. its basically a Hal load where i swapped out tss and wad. same charge, load weight without buffer and felt. it barely fit into a 3 inch shell with the nickel plated lead and this "brush wad" I'm trying.
For close shots which is most of mine i would rather use the cheaper nickel lead.
nothing wrong with nickel lead.
for fall turkey I shoot 3" #6 G.F. in the right barrel for close shots or jumping a grouse.
for spring the 1oz TSS load will be in the right barrel.
Those are looking quite good.

I do have a sumtoy 575 I will try with GF next time as well

in my gun the Carlson .575 was not that much of a tighter pattern at 18-20yds than a Carlson .581
but the .575 gets a better hunting pattern out to 35yds with the G.P.'s and a better 40yd TSS pattern than the .581 choke did.

It did. May try the 575 on the barrel I'm shooting the lead 7s
