Title: Briley 10 gauge turkey choke
Post by: Gamblinman on March 11, 2012, 04:46:53 PM
Anybody happen to know the constriction. Was given one today...searched the Briley site, but didn't find any information about the diameter of the constriction.

It would probably be best to measure the inside diameter.  The best way is with a pair of dial calipers if you can get your hands on a set.  Briley may have made more than one constriction.

Thanks...yea my neighbor is a retired machinist with a full workshop. I'm sure he has the instrument to measure. I'll try tomorrow.

Thanks woodchip   :thanks: :icon_thumright:

In 1984, Jess Briley threaded a 21" vent rib Ithaca Mag 10 Roadblocker for me and made 3 tubes, IC, Modified, and Xfull Turkey.  He told me at that time that they were the first tubes he had made for a 10 gauge Ithaca and I don't have a clue as to what the i.d. was on any of the tubes and they weren't marked w/ the constriction.
