Ok fellas here is a bit of a peek at what I have the 26 inch 870 SM doing currently. I've got to adjust the red dot after swapping chokes, it shoots a tad high. But this was with a fowled barrel using the Longbeard 3.5 inch 2oz 6's with the TruGlo SSX .643 choke at a lasered 30 yards over at the gun club. It was about 66 degrees out today. Not too shabby, the 5's shot nearly identical to this using a SumToy .665 so I believe I will go with the 5's even though the density of these 6's is super.

Go with the #5s ....they carry better energy past 40yds.

Indeed but we all know what some of out shotguns are capable of, dosent mean we gotta do it though! Heck, knowing my luck i'll be set up to take a 40 yard crack and the dang bird will pop out 10 yards beside me lol

My bad....rules are rules...5s carry better energy out TO 40yds...LOL!!!!
