What do you guys think the effective range of #10 shot tss in a 410 would be? Not looking to snipe birds at long range just wondered how effective they'd be at 35yds.

I'm positive you will be fine at 35 yards

Thanks. Haven't got much experience with a 410 and was just wondering.

It's a hammer at 35 yds

Haven't tried the #10's. But the #9's are killer at 35 yards.

30/35 yards..410 ... That's my own effective range with the gun regardless...

It depends.  Before anyone says anything about his title, he is not advocating long shots, just showing what they look like at various ranges.  https://youtu.be/JBoRwESeh-s?si=QRir0svd--bAAlL3

What is the velocity of your TSS 10s?

vt35mag

Over 40 less than 50 (assuming your velocity is under 1100fps)

42 yds according to ballistic gel. It's not the gauge that determines penetration or power. Its velocity  x mass x density. A 12 ga and a .410 moving similar velocity will have the same penetration performance, the pattern density is the difference
