Title: Mossberg 510 mini, Federal Heviweight 3-1.5-7's, SSX choke
Post by: chatterbox on June 03, 2016, 03:08:18 PM
I decided to try my SSX .550 in my son's 510 Mossberg mini.
That choke shoots lights out in my 20 ga Mossberg, so I figured I would give it a try in the 510.
Glad I did! Shot 146 in the 10" circle at a tape measured 40 yards!
The SSX is an awesome choke in the Mossbergs. If you're looking for a choke for your Mossberg, the SSX shoots very well!

I'm shooting a super bantam, the ssx is averaging the mid 140's in the 10" at 40yds with the fed 3" hvwt 7's, it has a nice even 10" & 15" pattern.

also have used the trulock choke made for the Hvwt 7"s, it's not bad, but the ssx has more uniform patterns in my gun.
