Title: hevi shot
Post by: wisconsinteacher on April 08, 2012, 09:02:10 PM
Would it be worth looking into Hevi shot for the 410, 28, and 16?  The duck load for 410 has #7 shot, 28 has #7 and 16 has #6 shot.  Would it pattern better than the lead factory loads and give a shooter a little more distance?

Though a little expensive it would be worth a try.
That said the shot weight that Hevi-shot put in there Classic duck loads is on the light side.

It would be worth trying since the HEVI is going to be denser than lead either way. You should be able to extend your range with the HEVI for sure.
