We went out this weekend and got Philip a longbeard I told him one down one to go and he says no dad your turn you need an upgrade for the contest. I forgot about that and just wanted to let him shot. Ok guess it's my turn this weekend wahoo.

Sounds like you got a good kid there! P.s. your not doing to bad as a dad helping him get a gobbler like that! Congrats to you both, i love hunting with my kids!

Yes it is great to take one or both of the boys when I go. Josh my other son is to interested in doing his own strutting now but managed to get some time in the woods this year with me. I am trying to get the boys to enjoy hunting with others and share the adventure. Josh and CharlieB had a good hunt together. I have inplanted hunting in them I hope they both carry on the tradition.
