I was down to turkey camp for the first time this year over the weekend.  Often times it is another couple of weeks before I hear turkeys gobble.

This weekend?  Wow!   Saturday was miserable rain until the afternoon.  I did hear  a few fly-up cackles around sundown.

Sunday  was incredible.  Gobbling from first light until Noon,  flocks out in the fields,  hens getting all worked up, a co-worker this morning said she saw gobblers mounting hens on the way to church. Well, the turkeys weren't going to church-- you know what I mean.
