Title: A Turpin Box
Post by: WillowRidgeCalls on April 24, 2011, 11:03:30 AM
Just finished this one up this padauk and butternut turpin this morning. The butternut I had left wasn't big enough to do a call so I added a bottom piece to it instead of tossing it, it came out good with a little bit different look to this turpin.
Thanks for looking guys, Scott

Nice and great to use all of the wood instead of in the wood stove. How does it sound?

It has a good sound to it, the left side has a young hen with a higher pitch and a smoother rollover with some rasp at the end, the right side has a deeper tone with s sharper break and deep rasp at the end.
