Do any of you guys hunt in the fall with a dog ?
My fall hunting has consisted of opportunity shots while bow hunting for deer. There never seems to be many birds around though.
After hunting late season grouse with my lab. I think I might start trying. It will be hard to train her to be still, but boy can she find those things. We busted up a few different flocks this past season. The only bad thing is the turkeys are on hill sides, and fly way out to the next side. :(
Here's a pic of my Hunting Buddy, Cutter is a four year old Boykin Spaniel and just loves to hunt turkeys with his dad.
