I finally got finished up building my new 28 Guage ATI Scout. It was hard to find any 28 Gauge Autoloader or Pump anywhere in stock. I tried over 100 websites and actual gun stores trying to find one. I wanted to start with something relatively inexpensive, knowing I would put several hundred additional dollars into it, getting it how I wanted it.
It started life with nice wood stock and forearm, which I then covered in the Mossy Oak camo vinyl skins. I did the barrel and receiver in the skins also. I used skins with more green in them because my hunting area in North Central Florida is always greened up when season opens. It did not come drilled and tapped, so I bought a vent rib pictanny mount. I then mounted a CVLife reflex 4 reticle dual color sight to it.
I will be shooting Apex 28 Guage #9.5 13/8 ounce Tss through it. I bought a mobile thread .525 IC choke. A few photos for your gun porn enjoyment.
Last photo is with the 20 gauge Tristar pump I built for my significant other.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230222/faafdae955b1bbe76e6edde60c8944fa.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230222/9633813afaa5725adede446dc6a10a57.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230222/8ee4cc1aeae67347f73f5fa699324e14.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230222/bcdcf5191ff13fa6ad3a10fd4328e421.jpg)

I talked with the folks at Indian Creek before I bought the choke as well. Also talked with the folks at Patternmaster but their choke is .515 which I thought might be too tight. That .520 you bought if you think about it share pics of your 40 yard patterns so we can compare. I will do the same with the .525 when I get it done.

That looks real good!
That's an impressive build!
Last fall I bought my first 28 gauge and LOVE it!
Very nice. That choke shoots 8-1/2's thru 9-1/2's equally well out of my SA-28.
Nice job. Sweet looking 28. What shell are you 28ga. fans using, 3" or 2 3/4"?
