Title: Maple and Padauk
Post by: bbcustomboxcalls on January 28, 2016, 07:33:14 PM
Here's one I made just for kicks. Probably wouldn't do it again. Too much work!!!
Maple/Padauk slate with Padauk striker.

That is some really pretty work, even among your other work, which is all pretty.

What did you use for a sound board?

What are the sound qualities like with that maple pot?  Loud and raspy, etc?

Thanks Swather,
The sound board is glass and normally a maple pot would be loud and raspy but with the Padauk inlay
around the sound holes it is more mellow sounding.
