Finished my recurve grand slam last spring in FL, then upgraded my Eastern at home in NY with a nice longbeard.
Started in 2014 with 3 toms in NE and a jake in KS, followed by 2015 in KS for a nice tom and a jake in NY, blanked in 2016 in FL (flooded) and NY.
That's Impressive, good job

Congrats. I'm still working on mine with longbow/recurve. Half way there with MS Eastern and SD Merriams.

Thanks and good luck.
I am planning another trip out west for Merriam's and Rios fro this spring, been wanting to hunt the Black Hills. Also thinking about my next slam, this time with no blind, and figure the hills might be good for that. Then NE, KS or maybe WY, never plan too much like to be flexible especially early season with any type of weather possible. Had snow both times I went to western NE, first time was a blizzard.
I tagged out on both of my Black Hills trips. The plan was to then hop the state line and hunt NE but we ran out of time. We had planned 4 day trips each time and should have planned a full week. Good luck on your trips.
Did you hunt the early archery season in the BHs? My main concern that early is the weather and if the snowpack will be gone by then. So I m leaning towards starting in NE and heading north if conditions are good, or maybe south to KS.
We hunted toward the end of the season on each trip. Weather was our concern also.
Awesome accomplishment!!! Congrats sir
Now that's cool right there, great accomplishment!!
Congratulations to you. I have to get a string for my old Ben Pearson Cougar recurve and start practicing when my shoulder is healed up.
Thanks guys.
Getting ready to go after some birds with white tipped feathers again pretty soon, been a few years.
Wow. Very impressive
Nothing prettier than a recurve bow!! Congrats on a challenging feat with any weapon. Even sweeter with a recurve, congrats
Congrats! Well done.
Thanks all.
Working on my next one, without a pop-up blind this time. 3/4's of the way there with 2 Merriam's, a Rio and an Eastern jake last Spring. Planning another trip to FL next March to try for another Osceola; based on what I saw with Easterns I expect them to be tough with no blind.
Congrats and best of luck to you.

Finished my second recurve grand slam, without a pop-up blind this time, in south FL last week with an Osceola jake on some heavily hunted public land. Wasn't a single season slam but I did it in less then 12 months, all public land except the Eastern from near home(will be hitting SC public on the way home).
Nice. Congrats
Very impressive, congrats to you.
Very cool
Congratulations Capt JJ.
