Anyone know if Ithaca offers a shorter barrel threaded for chokes or X full? Hoping to set it up for the wife.

You used to be able to buy a 24" barrel with choke tubes. I don't know if you still can. You could probably have it cut and tubed foe $75-100.

Hate to say it but I also have a 16 gauge 37 and wanted a choked barrel, the problem is with those old Ithaca's is most of the barrels will not interchange due to from my understanding most of them were hand fitted to the receivers. A good gunsmith can do it though.

Ithaca 37s with a serial number 855,000 or above are interchangeable.  This correlates with 1963.  Anything earlier must be fitted.
