Post by: MY on March 07, 2012, 11:05:38 PM
All three were at 40 yds with Nitro 4,5,7. Beretta 390 20ga, 26", Indian creek .555. I cleaned the barrel before the shot that had 193 in the 10". The other two were 167 and 159. I love my 12 ga 390. Has a great trigger. My 12 ga is a killer. I keep my eyes out for a 20 all the time. Last one I found went for 750 on gunbroker.......thats 300 more that what they were brand new at walmart back in the day.

Very nice. If I buy a 20 ga, a 390 is high on my list. How much does yours weigh?

Have you looked at the Weatherby SA 08 20 ga. Its modeled after the 303, which the 390 was modeled after. Ive held one and it feels a lot like the 390.

I'm assuming it's gas operated since it's modeled on the 303. Chokes? Weight? and Price?

Yep gas. Tons of features. I posted some info a while back. On page three of the 20 ga forum. Ive found the youth model with 24 inch barrell around 450 one time. Usually hovers between 475 to 550 on the net. Takes the mossberg accu choke. Clarke says he is getting in a tru glo ssx that will fit it any day now. If you dont want the youth, you can get the 20 ga synthetic in 28, 26, 24 inch barrell. I think its a ton of gun for the money.

I paid $500 for mine used, but you couldn't tell that it had ever been shot. I watched gunbroker for almost a year till I decided to get this one.

It weighs 7.6 lbs. Not a light gun but I love how it shoots.
