It took me all season but I finally killed #2 last night. He had 4 hens with him but he just couldn't stand the 1/4 strut jake looking at them. Ran right in wanting to fight. He wasn't an upgrade, but still proud of him! He gave me the slip twice this week. Sunday I set up to close to him on roost. He flew right over my head at fly down. Tuesday he came in gobbling. Got about 100 yards out and never heard him again. Last night I was waiting for him in his bedroom. Season ends today here in Georgia so it definitely ended on s good note!

Congratulations! Glad you got another. Sounds like you had similar experiences with him as I had with a bird other than you killed yours.

It came down to the wire! I didn't think I was going to pull it off before the season was over.
