They are not Tss, #6 is flightstopper lead, # 5 is lead and # 7 is Tss. They shot got out of son in laws fathers gun.
This says TSS

I was wrong on the #7's they are Tss the older loads I believe were #7 HW 15gr/cc. The 5 and 6 are lead. They shot pretty good with son in laws fathers gun but in 12 gauge, im gonna say in the 20 there isnt enough #7's in the load to make a big difference in patterns but they would hit like a truck if that is what makes it to the bird.

Cant beat that price! Give them a run and let us know how they do!
Can't blame you at that price, but the load would have been a heck of a lot more effective if they had used TSS9s instead of 7s. I guess they can sell them in states where 9s are not legal. That's why they're $14/box though - not much demand.

Yes sir! 9's and 9.5's for me, I started with 8's and they are very effective but if they would have used 9's instead it would have been a lot more appealing to the masses. Probably loaded for states that don't allow 9's though.

40 yards on the range finder and yes 3" 20 gauge

That is a very good pattern for a 5x6x7 and a good price.
For 40 yards that's nice. Hunt it.
Great pattern
Very impressive.I would try those if I can find them,I have the older 3rd degree and they really did not pattern good out of 4 20 gauges past 30 yards.
I just located the new federal 3rd degree 1 1/2 20 gauge shells and ordered 4 boxes.
I found mine at Walmart lol

Saw them at Walmart today. Less then $14 for a 5 pack. Did not buy any as I have a good bit of Heavyweight 7's in the inventory.

Ttt with this one.
Not to shabby with this pattern. These are back on the shelves at a (almost)reasonable price, 30 dollars a box. The meateater blend, I did pick up one box.
My pattern only looked decent with them when I patterned. But I misjudged the yardage and killed a turkey at 50 yards with the 3rd Degree.
I hate a duplex load. Always have. I'd rather shoot straight lead #4s (and did) than a mixed bag. Never had any duplex load pattern well and never understood the point.

If it patterns good, I'll shoot it.
The old Remington 4x6 shot great out of my 835. Old black Winchester 4's did as well. Now my 20, loves to be fed Mag blend, I'll tinker with this Meateater to see how it patterns. If it does good I'll post it up.

That'll work, good for a forty yard pattern.
I have actually had pretty good luck with the new Federal 3rd degree 5-6-7's from a few 20's, I am taking some tomorrow to hopefully pattern from my Winchester sxp longbeard 20, as thats what Id like to shoot from that gun and they have shot well from my old sxp longbeard 20 ga and my sx4 turkey 20 ga. That 40 yard pattern is excellent, mine were strong too. I think I have 8 of them left, but I can pick up more locally,I found one spot has them for $22.95, the other place is $34.95 which is the correct price from basically every other shop and yes, they are the "new" ones, I think they are just trying to unload stock.
Gimmick. They earned their nickname of TurdDegree. After shooting TSS, I will never go back to any sort of lead for turkeys. If I had to, it would be straight copper plated 6s.
The retail price on those 3rdDegree is $32 a box.
Boss 2oz TSS 9s can be bought for $45 a box. Other brands in the 1 5/8 to 1 7/8 range are within $5 in price to the Boss loads.
I don't burn ammo on turkeys like doves, so that $13 a box difference is immaterial for the incredible increase in efficiency.
I couldn't care less about the cost of any shells, tss, lead etc. Tss shells are superior, I don't think that is even a question. But these are a gimmick as much as needing a tss shell to kill a turkey out to 40 yards is a gimmick. Price isnt a concern for me and hunting. If you can get them to pattern, like that guy has, that is a dead turkey.
I patterned one of my 20's today with the Fed 5-6-7's and I am more than happy with them. I used my Winchester sxp longbeard pistol grip with the fiber optics and a trulock.585 pinhoti and was impressed. They have shot well from the 3 Winchester 20 gauges I have tested them in,with .570-.585 chokes.
I bought these shells for like $12 bucks a box just too see what they would do there is no comparison between them and Apex straight 9's or any other premium TSS shell but these will kill no doubt if they where the only option someone had, I never ceases to amaze me how Tss patterns and what's more important to me how it'll blow through foliage and completely dust roll a gobbler !

I never really had any luck with any 20 gauge shells other than longbeards, and now we can shoot tss #7's,but until a handful of years ago we could not shoot smaller than 6's, I thought the original 3rd degree were trash and figured these newer ones would be the same, I have actually had some great patterns with them from some setups. I have patterned Federal tss #9's, too bad I can't hunt with them yet, tss #9's are awesome, I am happy with the Fed tss #7's from a handful of my 20's.
Dang that sucks y'all can't use 9's ! But if what you're using works no need to change !
