Some pretty good lead patterns, especially for #5's from a 28in barrel at 40 yds.

Those are great patterns! With those numbers I would be done with trying to find a load that works and I would be buying more of those 5's.
Either one of those will take a bird!!
When I started turkey hunting that was the shell I used with kicks .665 and it will put them down :icon_thumright:

Funny thing......I got caught up in the 3.5 inch, short barrel, HTL slinging craziness a few years back and could have just been saving tons of money on guns and ammo all along. Guess it's true what they say about hindsight. :P
Nice patterns...I tried a JH .665 in my 11-87 with 28" barrel and wasn't satisfied with the results @ 40 yards...so I bought a ventilator and have been thinking of also trying either a tightwad or a JH in .660..
Your tightwad pattern has convinced me I need to give one a try. :icon_thumright:
