Between rain showers I finally got to shoot the new LB magnums 3.5 #5 out of 835 and Indian Creek. Shot was at a tape measured 40 yards. Counted 187 in the 10. May have missed a few or counted a couple twice. Had my eyes dilated earlier at eye doctor. If it quits raining long enough I'm gonna try and compare them to the regular LB 3.5 #5. What kind of adjustment would y'all make. Got a red dot on gun.
Looks great to me..... I don't know if I'd even mess with it. Shoot a couple more just to make sure and you'll probably be good to go!!!
Weather kinda sucks today. Gonna try again this weekend. Got some Nitro and Mag blends to try out also. Got a couple shells of each a buddy let me try out. Im pretty pleased with what I got though.
For 5's and bad weather....those are GREAT numbers!!!
Went back and recounted and got 193 twice. So that's my final answer.
stop where your at, thats a great pattern . dont fix anything.
you got that mossy purrin
Good as is. Interested to see how these compare to the regular LBs.
Turkey sandwiches for sure. :OGturkeyhead:
Ok, I'm gonna bite....there are now longbeards and longbeard magnums. What's the difference? Sorry if this has been discussed before.
Longbeards have 2 Oz of shot magnum has 2 1/8 Oz. Magnums velocity a little slower also.
I appreciate your input. I had no idea and this is the first I've heard of it.
the 3" has 1-3/4oz of shot, the 3" magnum has 1-7/8oz of shot
the 3.5" has 2oz of shot, the 3.5" magnum has 2-1/8oz of shot
Anybody know the pellet count difference? I know it's simple math but I don't know the pellet count for the 2 oz lb
Roughly 21 more pellets of #5 or 27 more pellets of #6 in the Magnums.
