Do any of you guys use bees wax on your alls? or any kind of wax?
-Mark
I will use Kiwi neutral to finish off a call
I don't use it. Wax is not a finish and will off quickly with any use. It is used to waterproof, but it has to be applied often which a customer should never have to do.
I used some when we re-did the floors and I needed to move the toilets.... oh wait, those were 'wax rings' that I used.... never mind! :bike2:
I use it on my tools and my tool rest. It makes them cut better. Kind of like how your car runs better after you wash it. ;D
I do use a wax based finish as a base coat. It fills the grain well and protects the pot. I know a lot of guys that only use wax on their waterfowl calls and it seems to work out well for them.
