Man those timber rattlers are nasty. They are a grey color down here in GA. never seen a yellow phase one before.
We have a black and yellow phase up here

Here in NW AR around the Buffalo National River they dont seem to be rattling their alarm anymore, which makes them much more dangerous. Supposedly they have been included in the menu for feral pigs and thru natural selection have adapted to not setting off the dinner bell.
