Okay, here it is if you could hunt just one day with any turkey hunter who would it be? They don't have to be alive!
Ben Rodgers Lee
Kenny Morgan
Dwaine Bland
I have two that tie for first, both my Mom and or Dad. I'm fortunate and still get to share hunts with them.
Outside family and friends I think a hunt with Walter Parrott would be fun.
My Dad who is now in heaven
Cuz Strickland.
Ronnie Caudill :z-guntootsmiley:
My Son Rick !
RIP Buddy :jesus-cross:
Ray Eye
one more days hunt with my oldman. Was one of the only places he was really at peace & we really enjoyed ourselves.
My grandfather Lee. I understand he was quite the hunter. He died in 1963 when I was three years old. Just one day would be nice. :(
Mike Lynch. ( M L Lynch ). His callers are still being used toady and set the standard for a mass produced box callers. They might have made to biggest impact on turkey hunting as we know it today.
My Dad.
Since my father wasn't a turkey hunter, I'd have to say a day with Tom Kelly would be a real treat.
Ray Eye.
TIFFANY LAKOSKY. Can you say "GOBBLE GOBBLE"??
Another vote for Tom Kelly
Walter Parrott...
Got to be Tom Kelly...sitting elbow to elbow.
Walter Parrot or Kenny Morgan
Fall hunting with Marlin Watkins and his dogs
My grandfather because he light my spring turkey fire 20 years ago.... Boy did I screw some hunts up for him back then, but he kept letting me choose the set ups and do the calling. He used to drive 20 mins at 4 in the morning to pick me to go listen and then drive me back to school just about ever day in April before our may 1st opener.

Yep yep. :gobble:
My pick would be the Old Pro Turkey Hunter himself, Mr. Gene Nunnery.
My father, who was taken from us last spring.
He was my best friend and truely my hunting blood brother, I owe everything I know about turkeys to him.
I can't narrow it down to one.....
I have 3. Guesswho, and the Holmes' brothers!
They are the reason there are no more turkeys in Bama' ;D
Henry Davis the writer for The American Wild Turkey and my grandfather. My grandfather and his brother knew Henry Davis. Chief
My Dad.... We use to deer hunt together before he passed away, Would give anything for another hunt with my father, sure miss him.
Will Primos
my two brothers who have passed away, just isn't the same anymore.
If its somebody ive never hunted with it'd be Eddie Salter. Otherwise my dad
Tom Kelly
my pap pap
Troy Ruiz. Always thought he seemed like a fun guy to hunt with.
My Father, I sure miss those days....
I'd love to go with Bobby Bridges (Yellow Yelper calls) one day, think alot could be learned from him in a short time. The people I enjoy huntin' with the most are my kids and my dad.

I would love to go with these guys! Guys who get it done year in year out in Bama are good at what they do!
BUT, if I had to choose just one I had it Friday and he killed a gobbler! My granddad has cancer and is going through treatments. I was able to get him and a buddy of mine on birds Friday morning. For all I know this is his last season before he goes to be with his Lord, but we hope and pray not! He is doing well and his treatments aren't making him sick so maybe he will beat it!!!
I pray every time I get to go with him - "Lord just give me one more hunt with this man please."
He is ready to be with his Lord who he has devoted the last 50 years of his life to, but man do I want him here with us a long time to come!

Colonel Tom Kelly hands down
My Uncle Harold. He died at the age of 50 and before I could call a turkey in for him. He was the hunter of our family and would have loved to turkey hunt but God called him home before he got a chance.

Damon,God Bless both of you. I was thrilled to read this. So glad you got him on a gobbler, and he was able to seal the deal.
We never know how much time we have on our Creators' earth, so living each day to it's fullest is of the upmost importance.
God Bless you, and job well done!
Mike
Mark Drury
I went to college with him.
Anyone who is responsible for watching 30+ turkeys each spring die is someone I'd love to observe in the turkey woods.
The old guys were cool but they didn't have near the experience of some of the killers running around in the woods these days.
I would like to hunt with Alex Rutledge. He is a hoot. I've had the privelege of spending time with him on several occasions and he can really tell some stories.
The other person I would like to hunt with is Scott Hook. He guided my daughter on her first turkey hunt. It was an awesome hunt and Scott is a great guy to just sit and talk with.
I would have to say Jerry Peterson. I consider him a friend but have never hunted with him. He has a amazing knowledge of turkeys. He used to come down to Lincoln Co when the sight in shop was here and do turkey seminars. he was instrumental in creating the turkey culture here. reflexl
My dad.
He's been gone since 1988 and I miss him more now than ever.
Ted Nugent!!!!

Ted Nugent!!!!
A guy I know at work is a wounded warrior. I was shooting 3D yesterday with someone who works with us he tells me that Uncle Ted is taking him (the wounded warrior guy) turkey hunting in Maine this season. He's going to get all kinds of swag too, new gun, etc. Gonna be on tv too... This guy went thru hell and he deserves it. Also found out he went fishing with Jimmy Buffet, been taken on pheasant hunts, etc.
I don't know who I'd want to go with, so many pros. Probably Ray Eye...
Another vote for my Grandad . As cool as it would be to share a hunt with a legendary pro or a tv celebrity, I'd trade every last one of them for one more hunt with Grandad. Miss you every day.
VaTuRkStOmPeR = ninja. ;)
Archibald Rutledge or my father who passed I n 97
Scott Hook,so he could here how great his call's sound with me running them :TooFunny:.another would be Ben Rodgers Lee.

Hopefully the Lord will answer your prayers and give you many more seasons together...I'm cheering for him!
What you said really made me think about who I'd like to hunt with and I keep coming back to my old buddy who has moved to Maine. We don't hunt together any more but I'm often out in the woods and something happens and I find myself thinking "Man, if old Kelly could see that!" Or, "If Kelly had been with me we could have teamed up on that bird..."
I think I'd rather hunt with my old buddy Kelly than a celebrity...Just something special about the bond between him and me...
I'd have to say my son. He has been there from the very first day out. He is a trooper and dad is tough on him. Then I'd love to get me little girl out there. I think she is starting to come around, and I have a little hope she will go this spring. Then my best friend and my brothers. My buddy has had a rough go, going through a divorce and would love a day to get him away from it just for a morning. I miss my brothers. One lives at home and works 6 days a week. My other lives in Miami, I haven't seen him in a year.
TV personality would be David Blanton and Will Primos. Grew up seeing them on TV and just would like to hunt with them. Really seem like great men.
OG man would be Joe Slaton. He has taught me to use a diaphragm, spent more time on the computer teaching me than any other person, and has given me more turkey calls than I would have bought myself. He is all turkey and I just haven't gotten together to share a tree with him!

Good choice Ray, Joe Slaton is by far one of the best turkey hunters I've ever hunted with.
HC
My Dad No question. Tomorrow, April 2nd is the day he went home.
Camo
Just my dad . hes the one that started me in this maddness :thanks: :thanks:...
Another vote for Joe Slaton.
Or Mike Miller aka Executioner
Or Mike Pentecost
Denny Gulvas or one of the Rohm brothers.
Tom Kelly
Will Primos or anyone on his staff, since nobody in my family hunts besides me I owe much of what I know from his DVD's. His whole staff seems cool and like it's all so fun to them and his calls are just death if used correctly.
