Title: .705 Carlson's+835+2.25oz H13 #6's
Post by: Tom Foolery on March 25, 2011, 08:16:03 PM
I got a good deal on a Carlson's .705" choke for the 835 I was hoping to use for BB loads on predators.  After seeing surehuntsalot's patterns with lead from his .710" I decided to give it a whirl.  I have not shot an #4 lead yet, but it was bad with HV #6's - 95 in 10"@40yds and it was just bad with 5's - 60-70 in 10"@40yds.  I loaded up a H13 and let fly at 42yds and got 171 in 10 and 321 in the 20".  45 degrees and high humidity too.  My gun has never seen the high numbers many here have, 180's is tops with my .676 StarDot, I just thought it was weird that the open .705 shot right with it using the H13's.

.676 StarDot

Win 3.5" HV #6's - 140-150
H13 3.5" #6's - 170-180 - 10"  298 - 19"

.705 Carlson's

Win 3.5" HV #6's - 95
H13 3.5" #6's - 171 - 10"   321 - 20"

Here is a picture, you can't see the 20" real good as I drew it with a pencil.
