I often wind up with the combo cuts as the best sounding for me, although when I get to the V-Cut stage in my cut progression, I sometimes stop there if a call sounds "right" to me.  However, I almost always offset the cuts to the right side anymore. I must have an asymmetrical blower.   ;D
I'll try the ghost cut on occasion, but have yet to hit on a design that works better for me than the combo cuts,....same for batwings, although I will occasionally end up with a batwing cut and have it sound good.

Once I get to the batwing, if a call still doesn't work for me, I just start making all kinds of modifications.  Some of my best sounding calls are designs that I could probably never replicate again if I tried.
