Not as many as in years past, due largely to some poor hatches and nesting conditions over a several year period, but our total legal yearly limit is only 6 birds, 2 in the spring, and as someone else noted, two in fall firearms, and two in archery season.

Middle TN is COVERED in birds, all the way from the top of the state down to the Alabama line.  I don't even think 10 birds puts a dent in the population.  Keep in mind that fall turkey hunting is not very popular so I don't think it contributes much.
