This is the proto type for my Detonator Series that ran in 2010 I only made twelve of these 8 in acrylic and four in wood and stabilized wood. This one is all wood Birdseye maple, it was a single reed caller that was loud and raspy. If you notice, I engraved on the band as this was before I used a lazer engraver...thought I would share this...pappy

Yep, sure did friend, they just weren't so "out there" as the acrylic was. It was my intention to try the different materials and settle on one that the public liked, as it turned out the acrylic was hot, so many don't like the idea of weather changes taking place with the wood, verses none with the acrylic. But if you ask me, I love the caharacter ofthe wooden caller...hope you are doing ok, been a while, Jack
