Ok so I'm trying my own hand loads. Using a Lee load all to crimp. The crimps are almost always not level at top. Just ever so slightly. Is this ok to fire? Will it cause patterning problem?

No worries. Whatsoever.

I don't think it will matter at all....

Mine does the same thing, I used to load mine for sporting clays and they never gave me a problem.

Are you loading your own turkey loads or just regular loads in general ?

Yes. I'm doing  shells for my O/U turkey setup. TSS in top and I'm going to do a 6 or 7 spreader load in other barrel. Probably do some hog loads. Don't do enough duck or bird hunting to do much else

I clearly do not know everything but all the TSS hand loads I have seen have used a roll crimp, not sure if that will make a difference.

Okay, I was not trying to be a know it all, I would have just hated to see a bunch of time and money thrown away if it was indeed a mistake.

I will. Guns getting dipped. I was told crimp was fine just back off the charge by 1/2 grain (Hal load)
Think I got crimp better on Lee. The plastic base was giving a little when pushed handle all way down. Just used other hand to push straight down from top as well

That one looks great to me. And, it appears to be a 3" shell. Unlike roll crimped 3" 20 ga. shells, your star-crimped ones should cycle just fine in Beretta family semi-autos. How many ounces of shot?
