Out of every single moss berg or winchester gun I own that I shoot the 3", 1 5/8 ounce hw 7s, my absolute best performing choke has been the carlson''s longbeard xr.

660 to 665   Winchester Long Beards.

665 to 670  Tss few loads to pick from.

The Federal in the 12ga I dont care for much.  If a 20ga it is good.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

I really love my 930s. They are great guns. My first one has had hundred and hundreds of rounds through it, mostly 3" turkey loads. My second one, "Casper", a snow goose gun, has had just a few hundred through it.
I've shot a variety of chokes, different manufacturers and different exit diameters. I like the .650s better than others for the #7 Heavyweight shot. That will also work with the TSS but it's not really necessary. I'm having fun with the "Head Banger" and it's .665 with some very interesting internal geometry.
I hope that helps some.
Thanks,
Clark

I'm planning on picking up a 930 this winter. This should give me a place to start.

I shoot the Hevi 7's and Long Beard XR 6's in my 930 Turkey and I use the Indian Creek BDS which is a .660.  Both loads shoot very nice patterns.  264 hits in a 9 3/4" circle @ 40yds for the Hevi's and 228 hits in a 9 3/4" circle @ 40yds for the XR's.  At 20 yards the patterns are very tight though, especially with the XR's.

Don't want to be shooting the original federal heavyweights through a black diamond strike choke...

I'm shooting Hevi 7's.  I've never shot the Federal Heavyweight stuff.

And the OP's question was regarding the federal loads, not hevi shot...
