My curse is gone.

Finally broke my curse last night. Seems for the last 2 years I've had bad luck turkey hunting.

On Monday night a buddy went mushroom hunting on this little piece of public. Saw a Tom walking the creek about 6pm.

So last night I went there got set up about 4:30. Had a hen walk by within 20yrds after being there for about 10 minutes. Then nothing for the next hour.

Then about 5:50 heard a gobble about 100yrds away. Called a couple times and at 6:01 shot him about 25yrds. 23lbs 10 1/8" beard 1 1/4" spurs

Nice pics!  Love it.  Those public land birds are a lot of fun.

Congrats. Be careful on what you say though. Saying my curse is over can jinx you and bring it back on you lol.
