Chris makes some great calls. his pots are unique and a great size for carrying and playing, they are on the smaller side. I have 4 of his pots and don't plan on getting rid of any of them. I have one of his aluminum Mahoe and it has some great rasp as I am sure this white oak has. I do rough up a spot on mine so my other strikers grip better the one he sent with the call gripped very well with the anodized but some of my others didn't until I roughed up the spot. I have a few anodized and they all have a spot roughed up and that makes them play a lot better in my opinion.

Thank you gentlemen. Most of my pots have a 3 1/4 playing surface but I run a thin wall making the call very small and easy to fit into call pockets. The strikers that I send with my calls grip an anodized surface extremely well. As Chris said, if you are using someone else's striker you may have to scratch the surface a little more.
