i see they have a 1200 fps and a 1050 fps version....
whats the point in this?......and which ones seems to shoot better for u guys?

Roost 1

I prefer the 2oz load which is 1200fps...

From what I can tell from my reading is the 1050s are subsonic so that do not have to go through the sound barrier.  The idea is that they are more accurate because they don't get disrupted by exceeding mach 1.   But I've always shot the 1200 fps loads with no complaints at all, they are good shells.  Be curious to see how fast both loads were going at say 35 yards....that would be interesting.   Supposedly the slow shells retain speed and the fast ones shed speed due to sound barrier issues.  That's from memory and only 1 cup of coffee.....

I have the 1200 ft per second with 1 3/4 ounces of shot. It puts 200-220 in a 10 at 40. Getting more shot on target at a slower fps I wouldn't be interested in. Would like to see what it would do at 1300 ft per second. If it opened it up a bit that would be good.

I have shot both, and you cant go wrong with either. Shoot whatever patterns best with your combo. The 1050's fps shot best for me,  but whatever patterns best is what you should go with.

Answer: #5 pellet launched at 1200 fps is going 730 fps @ 35 yds; when launched at 1050, it would still be doing 680 @ 35, so the 150 fps advantage at the muzzle of the faster load is down to 50 fps at 35 yds
