One down in NNY

Took everything I had and a ton of luck to get him.... Off roost he flew the wrong way only to follow a hen back about 30min later to stay at 100-120yrds putting on a show strutting and gobbling... He could see my avain Jake and hen but wouldnt leave his hen... So I called with everything I could slate and mouth at same time just making a racket.... Well finally hen came in and spooked at about 20yrds but he stayed at about 100.... I am waited a bit and let out a few purrs and clucks and he finally got mad at my Jake and came in hot and fast... Didn't let him get too close... At 35yrds a 3.5" turkey thug 6 shot and basspro blackout choke knocked him out....

Very wet... And of course the bird had to flop down the hill and into the drainage of the field...

Yes the shot may have been a little low... Helped pluck the bird...lol
