Lignum Vitae Found In Shop

I have become very interested in trumpets so I decided to build my own. I build acoustic guitars so I have acquired a cool assortment of woods over the last 15 years. I started thinking that I had purchased some Lignum Vitae a long time ago, so I rummaged through the shop and sure enough I found a few pieces, all heart wood too....cool, I have enough to build about 20 trumpets, hope to have it figured out on some scrap wood before I test the LV. Man is that piece of wood heavy too. I was just so excited to find that wood and had to share....lol

It may actually be Argentine LV--Bulnesia spp. --either way, I'm sure it will be a decent wood for trumpets. It rings like a bell, dense as can be and beautiful too. I will get a picture later.

lol....not yet, I am going to mess with it tomorrow after I get back from listening/scouting. Plus I need to go get some more bits, all of mine are frozen and broken off in the delrin.
