I don't really know how old it is . It looks like its had pretty good care
It's all black stock synthetic and flat finished barrel.
I will get a pic. Of it tomorrow. outside.
Just wondered what the size of the rem.choke for turkey is.
.670 or smaller ?

Love mine and if you are looking for a cheaper choke that is an absolute killer, I would look and see if you could find a Ventilator choke. Got it in mine and it has been a flat out killer. Congrats on a great gun.

Patterns were on a cold day so they will be much better in warmer weather.

The guys at Indian Creek have been very good me to and their chokes do well with any shell I have shot.
If your looking to keep costs down a Primos JellyHead in .660 or .665 is tough to beat for the price.
More important than the choke is the shell. A good shell can make any choke look good.
When it comes to factory loads the Hevi Shot 3.5" #7s are the ticket. If you want to save a few bucks get the Winchester Long Beard 3.5" #6s.

Sound like my old gun. I've had good luck with Ballistic Specialties, Sumtoy, and Jebs chokes. Longbeard #6 have been a great economical shell for me. I shoot 200 plus with it.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons. However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I always get my longbeards from the gander mountain, don't know if there is one in your area though.

Just came in from shooting my new Turkey Wacker.
It's 28 degs. With wind gust of 25-35 mph. Not nice.
But I took a pic of my 870.

Trying to post another pic. It says file to big?
You can see what the wind did blowing my shot off the page and this was only 35 yds.
