Are you using a saved pic that's already in your phone, or are you taking the pic as you are posting to the thread ?

I have the same issue with my phone. Had to go back to Tapatalk no problem uploading now.

 I've had issue's myself LOL! Sometime's the pic saved on my picture file loads and sometimes they dont LOL! I know I need a pic in the classifieds and have tried to post them.
Like I say, it's hit and miss for me!

Try this: do a screen shot of a photo from your library. It usually saves as a smaller file so you can upload it. For the iPhone, press the power and home buttons simultaneously. If you need any further assistance, pm me. Good luck.
