I just received two snakewood tip strikers from Harold Fowler. And I'm very pleased  :z-guntootsmiley: If your looking for all snakewood look up callmakerman on here.

How do you know what type of wood will make the sound you're looking for?  ie higher pitched or raspy etc.  I assume it has something to do with the hardness of the striker, but just wondering.  I don't want it to be a crapshoot.

talk to steve. he goes by west augustas here. tell him the sound you want and what you want to run it on and he will tune it to the surface. hope this helps.

I just purchased 2 strikers from obsessioncustomcalls off ebay.  I have a purpleheart and a dymondwood on their way and I can update this post with a general review on quality for those two when they arrive.  He's got snakewood out there.
