First attempt at parquetry

I am not a professional call maker. I enjoy building my own calls to hunt. I wanted to try to add some parquetry and thought I'd post it and see what you guys thought. Like I said, I'm no professional and any constructive feedback would be appreciated. The call below is walnut paddle and body with spalted maple parquetry ends and a spalted maple base.
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep... just like my grandfather. Not screaming, like the people in his car.

 Nice start to the parquet design.  :icon_thumright:  If you play around with some more, maybe add some thin spacers to add some contrast. Main thing is have fun with it.  :icon_thumright:

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
