Is winchester still making this load? It's the 3.5" 2 1/4oz loads?? Some told me winchester is just doing longbeard xr and winchester double xx( the old supreme hvs). These are the red ones I'm referring to. I know they show them on winchester website but they are still showing xtended range and we know they are not making them.

You may still be able to find those shells at some retail locations. Many companies manufacture shells, especially turkey shotshells, for only a portion of the year, and in the environment that we see today, may not manufacture them in any give calendar year but rely upon what's in the warehouse or in the pipeline somewhere. Unfortunately, web sites and catalogs may not be a good source of what's being currently manufactured.

Thanks,
Clark

I am having a difficult time finding the XX 3/2/5's and 3/2/6's.(red shells) not sure about production but can't find them even for sale. Stocked back allot of the 3/2/6's but only have 4 shells of the 3/2/5's. I have bought the new xx and they are the old HV black shells. Looks like the new super x  3/ 1 7/8/5's and 6's are the same as the old. (red shell) not positve about this though.  Those run a close 2nd out of my guns if they are the same. Cheaper shell as well.

I'm not sure if they changed the hull color.  I haven't checked any.  The specs remain the same, and based on specs and their product numbers, it appears that only the labeling has changed.

Excellent, I am glad to know that. That shell shoots really well out of my 870's. Thanks
