Spring Creek Calls

Filled my MI tag late this morning using Dad's 870 20 gauge. He's 91 and unable to hunt , can't wait to tell him the story. Great way to end a three state hunt. He weighed 18 lbs., had a 10.5" beard and 1 3/8" spurs. Rem super full and Heavyweight 7's did the job. Called him and another long beard across a power line opening at 11 am, gobbling nearly nonstop.

Congrats on a nice bird, your dad might be too old to hunt anymore, but his gun still shoots straight.I bet he enjoyed the story.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
