Fellow shooters-
friend of mine has a 870 tact, 23" barrel, 3.5" Chamber.... He is fixing to order a choke and wants to know whether to go with a .660 Jellyhead or a .665 Jellyhead?  He is wanting to shoot the Hevi Shot 3.5" 2 1/4oz 6s...  I told him I didnt think that they would be a whole lotta difference in the two, but I may be wrong.  Both of them would kill a bird stone dead at 40+ yards.  Whats yall opinion? 660 or 665?

Several of the Jelly Head users on this forum say .665 for H13 6's, and .660 for H13 7's.

My .665 works great on #6's and #7's. Too tight for my liking honestly. ;)

JH660 shooting Hevi #6s. Cant speak for the 665 or the #7s but my 870 likes the 660.
Either will probably do fine. If he could borrow one of each from a friend to try, that would be my suggestion.

My 870 with a JH .660, shoots around 230 pellets in a 10 inch at 40 yds with 3.5 H13 #6's. so yes, I would get the .660

goldenhunter, what yardage was that pattern shot at?  257 at 40 Yards is almost unheard of with #6's, even in 3.5".  It's so good, it's beyond belief.  Even at 35 Yards, that would be very impressive.

40 yards measured with rangefinder.  ;D

This is after a good barrel polishing, and cleaning with bore snake between each shot.
