Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding

Ever wonder why we make so many mistakes in our lives? How many of us have made the wrong turn and got lost in the woods because we were following our gut feeling? How many times did we throw away the instructions to something because "we knew better" and took on the project before us only to fail miserably and go rummage through the trash to find those instructions?
Life is only complicated when we try to make it conform to our rules.
Funny how we tend to insist on making these same mistakes time after time, really never learning to put our trust in what has been proven, especially when it comes to our Spiritual walk. Proverbs is so full of great and powerful verses that would help us back on the path to a Righteous Relationship with the Lord, by guiding us through Biblical teachings and awe inspiring words of Wisdom, if only we would take the time to really sit down and read with our hearts and not just with our minds.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.  Thinks about it. When we goof up our lives, when the winds of doubt blow in what seems to be the worst storm of our life, if we were to run to the tower of strength and wisdom, which is held securely in the Hands of our Lord, how much safer we would find our selves, and on the top of this tower sits the guiding light of pure Holiness, shining brightly showing us the way, keeping us from getting lost up in our own thinking, how much better off we would be!
