What is the optimal soundboard to striking surface gap when using a 1/8" wood soundboard? I typically keep a .09" to .10" gap between the soundboard and striking surface when using glass and slate, just wondering if I should increase the gap to compensate for the thicker material.

Would the same recommendations apply for any 1/8" soundboard material?

Keep it the same, wood will flex a little more so it plays about the same.
