I'm 21"......It's not the length of your pole, but the power in your wad   :z-guntootsmiley:

For a turkey only gun, definitely 24" or even shorter. Now for an all around gun 26". My 935 came with a 24" and 28" smoothboore barrels.I got the turkey/waterfowl combo on sale but if i had to do it all over again i would just get a 26" and be set up for everything. I was planning on selling or trading my 28" but this year i got into duck and goose hunting and its finally found some use. I think i've found another "obsession"!

My Duck/skeet gun is 26"....I have two turkey guns Mossy 835 24" & a Weatherby PA-459 Digital TR 18.5" ...I LOVE the short barrel on the Weatherby!!!  :icon_thumright:

I prefer 24" for e very shotgun I own for hunting.

My duck gun is a 28" Mossberg 500. My upland / skeet gun is a 28" Franchi O/U. I like the smooth swing the longer barrel gives.

Swing dynamics isn't an issue in turkey hunting, so my turkey gun is a 20" Mossberg 500. I don't like to carry a 28" shotgun in the woods, for the same reasons I don't like to carry a 28" barreled rifle in the woods.

26" on both my 20 and 12. I prefer the longer barrels even for gobbler guns. I see no need for a 20 inch barrel.

My personal reason for buying the Weatherby with the 18.5" barrel was weight.  I almost switched to a 20ga. but when I found this gun (12ga. 6.5 lbs) I was all in!!!  I'm 45 years old and I hunt with guys 10-15 years younger than me & sometimes and we cover A LOT of ground on hilly public land!!! I'll take EVERY advantage I can find when it comes to knocking off a few pounds....LOL!!!  :icon_thumright:
