Got to shoot the sp today. At 40 yards i got 383 in the 10 inch circle with the indian creek .690 and nitro # 7 shot.

Thanks, Im happy with that, gonna shoot one more shot to make sure things are good to go.

That's a very good pattern - Ive shot that same shell out of my SP10 and that would be about the upper end of what you can do with it - Congrats

WOW. Now thats a good pattern..

surehuntsalot

turkeys are in trouble with that pattern
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

jerf; Just how big of diameter will it make at 20-25 yds? I've been thinking if I could put that many shot in a 10 inch circle at 40 yds then I would be willing to go to a more open choke for closer shots at 15 or 20 yds. What do you think?    Thanks,  cluck

jerf

Never shot it at 20 yrds with a turkey choke, I dont let them get past 30 yrds for that reason. I'm guessing not much bigger than a softball at 20 yards.

Old Gobbler

The pattern at 20 yards out of a gun shooting that load has about 95% of the pellets in a 5-6 inch circle - you will find that to be true with most tight shooting turkey guns - hold steady .....
