I've been using cocobolo for my copper pot calls but it has become increasingly difficult to find it without spending a ton of money for a piece.  I want to change to a different species that is more readily available.  Does anybody have any suggestions as to a good replacement.   Thanks in advance.

Osage was what I thought about using but I can't find pieces big enough to make a pot call without gluing some together.   Where do you guys buy the Osage?

I get mine from Matt McLain, he's a member here, mmclain...  Give him a shout and see if he has any.

I use a lot of osage, but have also used padauk and bubinga with good results.  Generally a hard, dense wood will work well.
