First duck call of 2012

Got some desert ironwood in today and couldnt wait to put some on the lathe.WOW!!! That stuff earned its name, desert "IRONWOOD"! Crap, that stuff was like turning a piece of hardened steel. But by golly, I think it was worth the effort. I made a brass band and teamed it up with a striped ebony insert.

Lee, that is impressive work. I love to work with the ironwood, you matched those two together perfectly, is it single or double reed?
