Funny thing is Joey put a decoy out 10 yards from the roosted Jake. We had no idea that turkey was roosted there until it got a little lighter when we could see. Just goes to show you that if you get in early enough and are fairly quiet you can almost do anything.

Congrats to Joe and Joey. Nice when a plan comes together.. Nice pictures, by the way!!
What's with the different tail fan colors? One looks like an Eastern and one looks like a Merriam. Any Thoughts? Mike

We are always getting different colors in our tailfans. Most of the tail coverts and tips of the back feathers are pretty much Rio's.

TRKYHTR

So, both birds are Rios. Just different color phases?
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
If attacked by a mob of clowns, go for the juggler.

HARDCORE

Way to go guys, I expected to see some dead turkey pics from you today Joe.  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

I agree, early is key when setting up close.

Yes they are both rios. The picture makes it look more different than it really is. If you watch the video when we open the fans up you can tell they are both Rios. Even though mine is a little more buff/white than his.
