My patterns show that lots 300184 and 300308 are VERY good while lot 300491 is not as good (30-40 pellets less) but is acceptable.

Is it safe to say, the higher the lot #, as compared to lower lot #'s, the worse the count?

It just seems to me with all I read, previous lower lot#'s are always better than the higher more recent lot #'s? I don't think I ever read where a higher lot#, was better than a previous lot #? If this is the case, we all should know the outcome before even shooting, as the just seem to get progressively worse?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but have any recent higher lot#'s gotten better than any lower lot #'s?

I shot my first 3.5 2.25 oz of 6's from lot 3007xx with a new sum toy .650 choke, at 40yds got 140 in 10" and had 280 in 20".  I am not going to waste any of the old lots that shot well, they will all be used on turkeys that will soon be dead!  What do you guys think?

Cutt, it sure seems that the higher lot #'s are not as good (count wise) as the lower lots.

mnhunter2, I'm getting around 140 with my "worse" lot # also. I'm gonna use the "worse" ones in the thicker woods and save the "better" ones for the more open woods/fields.
