Spalding wood question

I have some of my pallet lumber that came through the shop today that I grabbed. It has mold growing all over it and the tale tale sighns of Spaulding going on. I sealed one end and I am waiting on the latex to dry to seal the other. My question is, is this wood safe to keep in the basement or do I need to get it outside due to the black mold? Thanks in advance!

Outside, mold is a bacteria and certain kinds can cause serious illness.

Better safe than sorry. Outside.

If I needed to keep it inside I would cut it into call blanks and marinate them in denatured alcohol for a few days. After that, putting them in a rolled up paper bag for a few days would slow down the evaporation of the alcohol and minimize cracking in the wood.

When I work with nasty looking spalted wood, sometimes I soak it in alcohol just so that I'm not filling my shop area with mold spores while I'm turning the piece.
